Susie Says...

December 2009:

It’s that time of year again, all the Christmas lights are going on and its only days away till Santa squeezes his way down our chimneys. The run up to Christmas is always a frantic time, and if you’re a busy Mum like me there is always lots to get organised ... but don’t panic, we have some great present ideas here at Muddy Puddles and can still deliver them effortlessly to your door, saving you the parking hassle and crowded high street headaches.

Our camouflage net is a great way to fuel their imagination, even if it’s raining just sling it over a couple of chairs and they will hide away all day ... bliss. You may get “captured” by a Pirate complete with head band and flag or asked to perform a duet with a beautiful ballerina. Do you remember your first bike? Taking dolly for a ride in her bike seat and keeping secrets in your bike basket, take a look at our bike accessories range for boys and girls.

And then its time for those bracing holiday walks when you just need to keep dry with some waterproofs and warm with a fleece hat , make sure those wellies still fit and you have some cosy welly socks to keep little toes snug.

Ahhhh Christmas ... I do love it!

February 2009:

Over the past couple of weeks we have seen some very extreme weather in the UK which has caused major headaches for most grown ups ... and extreme delight for many children! I can't remember the last time it snowed so heavily, and while it can be an unwelcome occurence for many, it is lovely to see our fields, hills and valleys full of kids making the most of being outdoors.

As you have been browsing the website you may notice that we have limited availability on many of our lines. When it's gone .. sorry, it really has gone!

We have many new and exciting products planned for 2009. To make sure you receive your copy of our Winter 2009 catalogue, email us at cataloguerequest2009@muddypuddles.com. Please make sure to include your name and address in the email!

It's likely we'll see more rain and snow before Spring arrives, so make sure your little ones have all the protection they need (before we sell out of everything!)

September 2008:

Its that back to school time, and the leaves have already started turning, where did the summer go? For waterproof and warm school jackets check out our Winter Jackets for 18mto 13+yrs , and our versatile 3-in-1 Jackets for the 7-13+ ages. They are all 100% waterproof, so no soggy shoulders or backs when you’re caught in a down pour.

We also have a great selection of backpacks suitable for school, our best seller is the camo backpack which boys seem to love.

Here on the farm we are still struggling to get the harvest finished between the heavy showers, but at least our Muddy Puddles warehouse will soon be full of new stock.

You should all be receiving our new catalogue in the next few days, if you are not on our mailing list click HERE to request your copy. We have New green Puddlepacks, performance socks, stripy thermals, super soft micro-fleece tops and hard wearing ruffty, tuffty cotton tops.

August 2008:

Where has all the sunshine gone, I’d only just got the swimming costumes out when the rain came.

They say it’s going to be another wet Summer, so if your staying at home for your holidays then you will DEFINETLY need some waterproofs. Currently we have our Walking Jackets on special offer, these have a lightweight, breathable shell that are ideal for this hot muggy weather, when you need to keep dry but its still warm. They come with a super-soft ,anti-pill inner fleece jacket which zips into the outershell to become a super warm winter jacket ideal for school or alpine activities. So it ends up GREAT VALUE for a jacket that can be worn all 4 seasons.

If your kids need smaller sizes look at our end of line puddlepac lightweight waterproofs for other Summer Special offers.

For those of you lucky enough to be going overseas to hotter climates, then we have some NEW SWIM accessories to keep the kids happy in the pool, and remember young children’s skin burns fast so don’t let your holiday be spoilt in the first few days with painful red shoulders and backs, either cover up with Sun Safety clothing or lather on the sun cream . The Sun Safety clothing can all be worn in the pool and dries very quickly, my son used to live in his during our family holidays and saved me lots of washing as his t-shirts stayed in his case.

I do hope the forecast is wrong & we see at least a little sun here in Devon

May and June 2008:

First of all, sorry for the late posting. May has passed by so quickly with many projects on the go at the moment. It's been a mixed bag weather wise for all the UK during May, a few spells of sunshine here and plenty of rain as well. However, despite the rain, there is the feeling that summer could be arriving soon. The dry spells have given us chance to get out and cut the lawns, and I think the smell of cut grass always signals the changing of the seasons.

Anyway, with all this warm, yet wet, weather around, our Lightweight Puddlepac waterproofs have been in demand recently, ideal for when that unexpected shower tries to ruin your day out, and being lightweight, they won't get too hot during the summer showers. They're also discounted at the moment so they're a great way to ensure the kids stay dry without you having to carry around larger or heavier coats.

April 2008:

Wow, how the time flies,  April showers, sleet, snow and wind, but as I sit here, the sun is shining and the cows are back outside on the spring grass enjoying the weather.  This month we have some great special offers on UV Tops and still have some great value hats and gloves

One of our spies has just got back from a skiing holiday where they saw lots of children in Muddy Puddles Snow Boots and some Original Bib & Brace, out on the Mountain.  Great to see the kids having fun.
