With half term looming, now is the time to plan some outdoor fun for the week off. There are plenty of fabulous activities taking place all around London, perfect for entertaining your youngsters whilst on their school break.

• A Winter Walk around Osterley Park and House

West London explorers, take a stroll around the gorgeous grounds at Osterley Park. The Georgian country estate opens at 10am and closes at dusk. Set your sights on bursts of colourful wildlife and lovely shapes. The garden is a great chance to step outside and stretch your legs around a fantastic location. • Down at the Deen City Farm

Take a trip down the Deen City Farm for a fun day on the farm. There’s a whole host of activities available throughout the half term to take part in. Become a young farmer for the day and learn about all the work it takes to keep the yard running and all the animals at the farm happy. Take a look at their website for more information. 

• Muddy Puddles Wild and Muddy Event – London – 19^th February 11am – 1pm

Round off your half term with our London Wild and Muddy Event. We will be kicking things off with our ever so popular scavenger hunt, testing out your science skills with three tremendous challenges and getting creative with some glorious craft activities. • The Marvellous Mile End Park

Unknown to many, the Mile Park is a perfect spot for some outdoor holiday fun. It has a bucket load of activities available and things to explore. From the eco and art pavilions to nature ponds to a brand new play park, what better for a first visit than February half term? Discover here. 

• Orchids Festival 2017

Running daily until 5^th March at Kew Gardens is a colourful celebration of India's vibrant plants and culture. Children will have the chance to join in with block printing and explore Indian botanical designs, craft activities such as leaf colouring and finish with an incredible Indian face paint. • Nature Detectives – 14^th February 11am – 4pm

On Tuesday of 14^th February, splash down into Sydenham Hill Wood and join the Wildlife Trust for a fun family day in the woods. Have a hands on day outdoors with your children with a great range of wild games and activities. This event is free, but booking is essential.
