Splashing Summer Fun with Mummy Says

Splashing Summer Fun with Mummy Says

Even though I like to think of myself as organised – I know that there are certain things I just never seem to get on top of. One of them is having the children’s clothes ready for the weather at the start of each new season. So when Muddy Puddles got in touch and asked if Milin and Jasmin would like to try out a Pac-a-mac - I of course said yes. Here was my opportunity to have our wet weather gear for autumn sorted.
When their macs arrived I was pleased to see they’re actually perfect for summer too. They’re incredibly lightweight and so great to whip out for summer showers. In fact, given how easily they pack into their own pockets, I’d say they are the perfect ‘just in case’ item for the British summer. You just never know, do you, what the weather is going to do. And with these macs packed away and easy to carry – you’d be prepared for whatever it decides.
The macs can be chucked in the washing machine (win), zip up nice and high to keep the rain out around the neck, and have elasticated wrist bands, again to keep out the rain. They are also designed to be fully waterproof, but we have (unbelievably) not had any rain for days and days. This didn’t stop the kids from putting them to the test though! On one of the hottest days of the year so far, they decided their new waterproof jackets were due a soaking. They cooled down, we all had a good laugh, and we saw that the jackets were, as promised, not letting any water in. Which meant, of course, that Jasmin got to spray Milin again and again with the garden hose after they’d finished watering the plants…. On the plus side, we did see that the jackets would withstand even heavy rainfall! We’ll be packing them with us on our next days out to really test. The fact that they’re so lightweight makes them great even in this hot weather – and they’re light to carry as well. As for me? I just need to be organised enough to remember to pack them!
