Schools, 'Speak Up' for Climate Change!
Back in February thousands of people around the world celebrated Valentine’s Day by their showing love for the planet and the things they hold dearest by supporting Climate Coalition UK’s “For the Love”. By creating and wearing special green hearts, the iconic symbol of the campaign we also showed our appreciation for the outdoors and the planet. Their “Week of Action” will be seeing nature walks, tea parties and community energy visits to start those key conversations about climate change. Schools around the country have also been invited to join the campaign from 8th-16th October in the Week of Action to celebrate the people, places and things we want to protect from climate change – and make sure MPs know all about it! To help with school events and to take effective action, check out their schools pack! Discover plenty of fun and interesting things that pupils can do to get creative in talking to their MPs about the things they love and want to protect from climate change. The pack encourages students to:
