Summer Strawberry Picking Adventures!

Chalk Kids explored the outdoors for a spot of strawberry picking! Kitted up with our Muddy Mac, see how they got on...  What better way to kick off summer than to head down to the farm to pick some fresh strawberries! We thought this might be one of those traditional outings that we’d enjoy more than the boys, but Finlay loved it and took great pleasure in carefully selecting his own fruit. It took no time at all before his little basket was full!  We chose a typically British summer’s day where it was bright sunshine one minute then rain showers the next, so it was the perfect opportunity for Finlay to test out his new Muddy Puddles Waterproof Mac. Muddy Puddles is a UK company who have been making children’s outdoor clothing for over 20 years. Their outerwear is exceptionally popular where we’re currently based, as most tots and big kids up north live for the great outdoors.  As Finlay will be 3 in September I decided to size up with the jacket (age 3-4) so that he’ll get plenty of wear from it! I love the classic yellow colour and the fact it’s fully stormproof, whilst still being lightweight enough for the summer season. The design is excellent, with soft towel detail to help absorb heat.  We also adore their original all-in-one waterproofs, which we have hanging up in the closet ready for an extra rainy day. It’ll be ideal for those muddy outings, such as our weekly outdoor nature class where F just wants to run and explore without me chasing after him hoping he won’t get completely covered in muck! I’m so happy with the quality of these Muddy Puddles items and plan to hang onto them so that, Parker can get use of them later too.
