What’s better than a muddy family walk? It’s the perfect opportunity to get the whole family together, plus walking in nature is perfect for those who crave nature and fresh air.
1) Old Sarum, Wiltshire
Built by William the Conqueror in 1086, Old Sarum is one of the first Norman castles in England. It’s also the perfect place for a family walk whatever the weather. Take one of the many footpaths and enjoy the great view over Salisbury and the countryside. There’s no café on site, but there are vending machines selling hot drinks and snacks if you and your gang need an afternoon pick-me-up.
2) Brecon Beacons National Park, Wales
The Brecon Beacons National Park offers lots of attractions for you and your young hikers. There are so many different walks to choose from.
