Our Story
Muddy Puddles is on a mission to connect our growing explorers with nature by designing excellent quality, sustainable clothing that protects them in all weathers, is kind to our planet and the people who make them.
It all started on a farm in Devon, when a mum lay her smallest child down on the kitchen table, drew around him and made the first waterproof puddle suit. The splash suit went down a storm and after initially selling at local country fairs, the brand grew and grew.
Passed from one mother to another, Muddy Puddles is now run by Chief Mudder, Natasha, with three young puddle stompers of her own and a small team of passionate muddy enthusiasts.
Built on the belief that ‘there is no such thing as bad weather, just the wrong kit’, it has taken 20 years, 100s of samples and 1000s of customers to perfect our children’s outerwear. We have now accrued over 32,000 five star reviews on Feefo and we’re forever grateful to our amazing customers for all of their feedback. This has been key to helping us reach our goal of creating clothing with exceptional technical performance, in bright and bold unisex designs that are built to last and pass on.
From our recyclable packaging to the ethical standards of our supply chains, protecting people and planet is built into our brand’s ethos. We were one of the first clothing manufacturers to use recycled plastic in our garments in 2017 and are proud to have reached several sustainability milestones since then.
In 2022 we became a Certified B Corporation®. This means our company has been certified as having met rigorous social and environmental standards, which represent our commitment to goals outside of shareholder profit.
