How to keep children warm in cold weather
We're are on a mission to connect growing explorers with nature by making sustainable clothing that protects them in all weathers and is kind to our planet. They are built on the idea that there is no such thing as bad weather, just the wrong kit!
Here at Muddy Puddles HQ, we believe rain should not stop play and that’s why it’s super important to make sure your children are dressed appropriately for the colder months so they can still get outside and enjoy everything nature has to offer. We’ve put together some top tips for ensuring your children keep warm when it’s cold outside.
Thermal tops and bottoms keep in the heat for hours, wick away moisture from the skin and make your little explorers feel snuggly and comfortable while playing and exploring the great outdoors.
A waterproof, breathable and windproof jacket is a must for the colder months. By ensuring your little adventurers keep warm, they can fully enjoy their favourite winter activities.
Great for popping over trousers for family walks or when exploring outside, waterproof trousers are easy to roll up and bring along with you just in case.
4) Hats, gloves and neck warmers
Little hands can get cold very quickly so gloves or mittens are a must, especially on the really cold and bitter days. A warm hat is also essential as most heat is lost through our head. A toasty neck warmer is super practical as they stay in place – perfect for those extra chilly days with lots of fun activities planned.
5) Protective shoes and cosy socks
A pair of super warm socks to pair with some comfortable wellies are necessary to keep feet warm and dry. A pair of waterproof snow boots with grippy soles are ideal for icy and wet surfaces in the winter months.
