We’re very proud to see that Drapers have featured our new B Corp status on their news page.
We announced last week that we have been awarded B Corp certification, which means that we’re part of a global community of businesses that meet high standards of social and environmental impact. The B Corp certification addresses the entirety of a business’ operations and covers five key impact areas of Governance, Workers, Community, Environment and Customers. Over 73% of our clothing collection is made from recycled fabrics, and we send every customer order out in planet friendly biodegradable packaging. Sustainability is one of the most important values in our business, and it is at the core of everything we do.

"Also known as
the “gold standard” for sustainability, B Corp status requires companies to meet rigorous social and environmental standards which cover five key impact areas of governance, workers, community, environment and customers. Founded in 1994, Devon-based Muddy Puddles is now part of a group of 5,575 companies worldwide that have achieved B Corp status, including fashion and footwear brands
Ganni, Toms and
Patagonia. Out of the 950 B Corp-certified businesses based in the UK, only 20 are
fashion and footwear companies. These include independent lifestyle retailer Wolf & Badger, womenswear brand Baukjen, outdoor brand Finisterre and fellow
Drapers Independents Awards 2022 finalist Aspiga. Muddy Puddles managing director Natasha Ascott said: “Ever since we started Muddy Puddles
we’ve been committed to this goal, and all our hard work has paid off. From sourcing the best possible factories and materials to the way our business is run, the team has put a great amount of effort into making sure our practices are sustainable and environmentally responsible. It’s great to be recognised with such a prestigious certification.”
