Top 10 National Trust February Half Term Events
February half term is only a few days away and we’re sure lots of muddy parents out there are looking for fun half term activities to occupy their young adventurers.
We’ve rounded up 10 exciting things to do with the National Trust this half term. From family-friendly trails to snowdrop planting, there are plenty of activities to keep the whole family happy.
1) Polesdenopoly (10-18 Feb, Polesden Lacey, Surrey)
Bring your friends and family to enjoy this interactive trail, see if you can become as rich as Mrs Greville (previous owner of Polesden Lacey and well-known Edwardian socialite). Retrace the steps of past Kings, Queens and Maharajas, whilst you buy your favourite sites dotted around Polesden Lacey. The player who acquires the most property at the end of the trail is the ultimate winner.
2) Woodpecker Trail (10-18 Feb, Belton House, Lincolnshire)
Visit Belton this February Half Term and discover the resident Woodpeckers that call Belton home on our Woodpecker trail through the parkland. Enjoy a winter wander through the parkland on this trail and see if you can see or hear our feathered friends, while learning more about them.

4) Winter Trail and Winter Craft (10-18 Feb, Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal Water Garden, North Yorkshire)
Join this self-led, family-friendly trail with your little explorers. Introduce your children to the smells, sounds and colours of the landscape and have a lovely time in nature. Pick up a trail paper from the visitor centre, Studley Royal admission desk or West Gate admission desk beforehand.
5) Elves and The Shoemaker Trail (10-18 Feb, Berrington Hall, Herefordshire)
The elves and the shoemaker have been busy crafting some creative winter wellies inspired by their visit to Berrington Hall. Grab a trail pack from visitor reception and see if you can spot all 8 of the weird and wonderful welly boots hidden around the garden.
6) Y Mis Bach Bingo (10-18 Feb, Dyffryn Gardens, Vale of Glamorgan)
Visit Dyffryn Gardens and take part in a little trail for a little month - find some small things and tick them all off your bingo sheet.
7) Play Under The Old Stable Coach House (10-18 Feb, Montacute House, Somerset)
Be it wet or dry you will always be able to enjoy plenty of games and activities this February half term. Soft archery, giant Jenga, quoits, building blocks, connect 4 and much more.
8) February Nature Spotter (10-18 Feb, Prior Park, Somerset)
Collect a nature spotter sheet from visitor reception and see what you can find as you explore the garden. Search for a spiders web, find something prickly and have a jump in a muddle puddle - these are just a few things you might find as you explore nature through the 18th-century garden.
9) Wassail Trail (10-18 Feb, Brockhampton, Herefordshire)
Take a stroll through the orchards at Brockhampton and discover the age-old tradition of awakening the fruit trees ready for the next harvest. Pick up your trail sheet from visitor reception, spotting the signs and completing the activities as you go.
