Another easy craft that will make a handy Father’s Day gift, perfect for toddlers and pre-schoolers to give as a homemade gift. You'll only need a few materials and in a couple of minutes, your children can decorate a lovely personalised paperweight. You’ll need:
- A small rock (or a few if you want to make more paperweights)
- Acrylic paints

Instructions:
- Wash and dry your rock: set your little explorers up with a bucket of soapy water and some old toothbrushes, and let them scrub their rocks clean
- Paint your rocks with your child's chosen base colour and let it dry
- Paint more layers of different colours
- You can decorate the rock with stickers, googly eyes or other materials

3) Father’s Day handprint tree art

This is the perfect gift for all the outdoorsy fathers out there. Super easy to make and will look great on the wall or as a handmade Father's Day card. You could even buy a plain notebook and use it as the cover.
You’ll need:
- Green paint + other colours if you feel like making a more colourful tree
- Sheets of white and brown card
- Foam paintbrush
- Flowers, leaves or other nature items to decorate your tree (optional)
- Glue
- Black sharpie
- Cut out the tree trunk from your brown card and glue it onto the white sheet. Let the glue dry. Alternatively, you can paint the tree using brown paint
- Paint your child’s hand with the green paint
- Place their hand over the top of the tree and stamp it all over to make the “leaves”. You can use other paints to make your tree more colourful. Let the paint dry
- You can now glue your nature items onto the tree to make it look even better e.g. by mixing your handprint leaves with the real ones
- When your tree is ready, add your message with a black sharpie.
