Learning Objectives

To tell and write the time to five minutes, including quarter past/to the hour and draw the hands on a clock face to show these times.

Resources

- Lots of stones (large and small)

- Sharpie markers

- Sticks

Introduction Activity

Let children explore the garden, asking them to collect 12 large stones, 12 smaller stones, one large stick and one small stick

Stone O’clock

Use all the stones collected to build a ring, and place the clock hand sticks inside so it looks like a clock. Move the sticks and teach children how to tell the time.
