This is the second winter that lovely Hannah, from Make Do and Push has put our childrens raincoats to the test. Living in East Yorkshire she really knows about cold winters. In September feisty Busby and her little explorer H-Bear took our yellow puddleflex jackets on a woodlands exploration to Nostell Priory. We love these photos of the two of them tumbling about in our children's raincoats and our super new yellow lightning bolt wellies. We always feel so lucky when we get to work with talented mamas like Hannah who take beautiful photos. Take a look at her
blog to see some of her children's magical childhood moments.
Hannah's Verdict on our Childrens Raincoats
Here is what Hannah has to say about
the puddleflex jackets 'We put them to the test last week...The super cosy interior fleece lining is a gorgeous chevron pattern, which is very on-trend. The jackets are lovely and thick – making them ideal for autumn and winter. One thing I love about the Puddleflex jackets is that they’re machine washable, which is very handy for two children who enjoy adventuring in mud! The jackets are up to 10,000mm waterproof and have a concealed storm flap at the front of the coat for extra protection. The double ended zip is great for promoting independence when getting dressed.' When it comes to the wellies then we were delighted to see Busby and H-Bear wearing last year's all the time out on adventures. Hannah's verdict
'I swear by these wellies. The children have had numerous pairs over the years, they wear them almost daily in autumn and winter, and they last immensely well! I LOVE the news designs for AW17; my favourite is definitely the lightning bolt wellies. Made from durable rubber, these wellies have grippy soles to help avoid slipping – making them perfect for climbing and puddle jumping! The extra height on the wellies also helps prevent water getting into the boot! Hurrah!'
Get inspired by Hannah
As the cold sets in and the days get darker we know its harder to make the effort to step outdoors. When you see beautiful Instagram feeds like Hannah's documenting the 'wilderness of motherhood' and exploring the great outdoors it is very inspiring. We hope it makes other Mama's and their puddle stompers head out come rain or shine. Or if you just want a lovely photographer to capture any images for you then get in touch with her too!
A little inspiration for local welly walks Lastly we want to leave you with a couple of tips for where to take your wellies. Get your children stomping outdoors in their wellies. Take a look at
National Trust sites near you. They always have children's walks and activities available or if you want to do something free did you know that everyone in the UK lives at most 6 miles from a
