10 Brilliant Outdoor Easter Events

This year, Easter Sunday lands on April 5th and there's a lot of egg-citing stuff happening in the build-up!

We've rounded up 10 egg-cellent Easter events around the UK. Read on to find out the best outdoor hotspots to enjoy with your children. Get cracking and book a fun day out together!

 

1) Easter Springtime Surprise at Audley End Miniature Railway, Saffron Walden

When: 28th March - 12th April

Hop on board the miniature train and ride deep into the enchanted Audley End woodland to visit the Easter Bunny and the Farmyard Friends. The friendly farmer will welcome you onboard before you head into the woods to spot egg–citing Easter scenes. You’ll be entertained by ‘Shearlock Holmes,’ the world’s greatest sheep detective, who has teamed up with the Easter Bunny and the Farmyard animals to help solve the mystery of the missing eggs! Each child will also receive a springtime souvenir to take home.

2) Easter Eggstravaganza at Walby Farm Park, Carlisle

When: 28th March - 12th April

Head on down to Walby Farm Park this Easter for some fun on the farm – there’s baby lambs to meet, a daily Easter Egg Hunt and children can decorate their own chocolate treat in the Chocolatier’s Kitchen.

3) Live Lambing at Cotswold Farm Park, Cheltenham

When: 28th March - 12th April

Visit Cotswold Farm Park and meet the new Spring arrivals. You can also explore the wider farmland to soak up the views and head into the woods to build a den or watch the bees in their special observation hive. Then finish up at the outdoor play area and let your explorers enjoy the pedal tractors, the log assault course and the sandpits.

6) The Great Dragon Egg Hunt at Hever Castle, Edenbridge, Kent

When: 28th March - 19th April

Enjoy a magical Easter at Hever Castle with The Great Dragon Egg Hunt, a family friendly adventure set within the historic Castle grounds. Young adventurers will follow the trail, learn fascinating dragon themed facts and collect letters along the way to solve a secret word puzzle. Once complete, they can head to the information kiosk to reveal the answer and collect a prize.

 

7) Easter at Bewilderwood, Norfolk

Be part of a brand-new Easter adventure at BeWILDerwood! Cedric the Easter Bunny is tying to run the greatest Easter celebration ever... but the Pesky Bunnies keep causing mayhem - and we need YOUR help! Choose your team, join the story, and help decide how Easter unfolds in the woods. Will you choose Team Cedric the Easter Bunny or Team Pesky Bunnies?

8) Easter Quest at Pendennis Castle, Cornwall

When: 28th - 19th April

Visit Pendennis Castle for a whole host of amazing events! Hunt for clues in the castle grounds, track down the Easter eggs and get rewarded with a tasty chocolate treat.

9) Lindt Gold Bunny Hunt at Hampton Court Palace, East Molesey, Surrey

When: 21st March - 12th April

Embark on a captivating adventure as you explore Henry VIII’s lush gardens, keeping your eyes peeled for elusive Lindt gold bunny statues peeking out from colourful daffodils or early buds from the Tulip Festival. Follow the trail and match the names of influential characters to the distinctive red ribbons adorning every adorable Lindt gold bunny statue. 

10) Easter Egg-splorers at Marwell Zoo, Winchester, Hampshire

When: 27th March - 12th April

This Easter holiday get ready for a host of family fun across the zoo.
