On this workshop you will learn some simple knife techniques that will enhance your confidence and control in order to make simple useful and decorative items.
- TIMBER! Inspiring Ideas, Activities and Resources for Teaching About British Trees, Forests and Wood Delivered by Education Manager from Sylva Foundation, Jen Hurst of the. This hands on practical workshop will introduce you to a wide variety of resources that support both indoor and outdoor teaching on the trees and forests that grow in our own country, and how we use the wood from them. Discover what sustainable woodland management means and how it can be used to teach subjects across the curriculum through fun and engaging activities.
- Improving Outcomes in Mathematics Using the Outdoors Delivered by Cath Foster; Entrust Early Years. This workshop will support you to develop children’s mathematical thinking and skills using the outdoor learning environment. It will explore practical ideas to enrich and maximise the potential of the outdoors to promote mathematical thinking in a fun and purposeful way.
- Pattern Explorer – Art and Design Workshop Delivered by Gill Martin; Entrust School Improvement Team. What inspiration goes unnoticed outside your classroom door? Are you making the most of your free resource? Taking part in this hands on practical art workshop will provide you with the opportunity to explore the visual and tactile outdoor environment, work with a range of media, and take ideas back to integrate into your Art & Design curriculum to develop the potential of artistic learning possibilities for your pupils.
