Our Nature Scavenger Hunt and Craft Workshop
Sunday marked the first in the series of our 2016 #MuddyEvents, we held events across the country in amazing locations in London, Bristol and Manchester running workshops for families to come down, free of charge and take part in some seriously muddy outdoor fun. We were very pleased to see that our first 2016 event was so popular; in total we hosted over 150 families as they climbed, caught and collected various wildlife items specific to each location. Our adventurers were most successful in finding shrubbery, flowers and plants and created some truly artistic collage creations. Our explorers made light work of the task in hand and quickly set off in some wet and windy weather, our Manchester event was particularly muddy, the British weather lived up to its reputation with rain falling throughout. Mind you this didn’t stop our hunters, they were as still enthusiastic and happy as ever. As we always say, there’s no such thing as bad weather… just the wrong kit! Some customers even showed their support on the day wearing some fantastic Muddy Puddles kit, great taste obviously… Our Londoners loved collecting their local leaves, especially the Pignut, it looked great on their collages! However sadly our old friend the Woodpecker remained quiet, perhaps he had a headache? Even through the wet weather positivity remained high, up in Manchester favourite items included the cotton grass, spiders webs and the Y - shaped stick. In Bristol the sun shone bright for our muddy young adventurers who did an incredible job of spotting almost everything on the list except the quaking grass which we think it was a bit early for. Here's some Manchester hunters pleased with their finds! "Mini-caterpillar eggs! Are they going to hatch soon?!" From the Muddy Puddles team we would like to thank everyone who came and took part in our Nature Scavenger Hunt and Craft Workshops across the country. It was a truly special day, we were delighted to see you all there. If you didn’t get a chance to come - don’t worry. You can still take part and get involved in the hunt. Keep your eyes peeled for more #MuddyEvents throughout the year, we are already planning our next one and we can’t wait to share it with you! Sign up to our newsletters to stay in touch.
